Once your account is activated, you can send up to R25,000 per order and up to R25,000 per month. You can also upgrade your account to send higher limits of up to R50,000 per order and R100,000 per month. Select the “Increase Limits” button in the Mama Money app to upgrade your account.
You can pay in cash at a participating retailer, via EFT, or through other available payment methods in the Mama Money app. Your transfer will be processed once payment is confirmed.
Money sent to China is paid directly into your recipient’s supported mobile wallet in Chinese Yuan (CNY). Make sure the correct wallet details and mobile number are entered when creating your order.

Mama’s fee is 5% (capped at R250) when sending money to China. You will always see the total fee and exchange rate in the Mama Money app before confirming your transfer.
