When you send money to Zimbabwe your recipient will get a 12-digit Cashout Token number SMS'd to them for cash collection. With Mama Money's Cashout Token, your recipient can collect the cash from any institution of their choice for extra convenience. The following institutions accept Mama Money's Cashout Token: Banc ABC, POSB, ZB Bank, NBS Bank, NMB, Quest Financial Services, Steward Bank

Once your Mama Money order has been paid for. You and your recipient will receive an SMS with a reference number. Your recipient will require identification and will need to present this reference number at the cash collection location to receive their money.

You can choose to pay for your order with cash or with online banking by doing an EFT. For online payments, Mama Money's bank details will be shown to you in the app once your order has been created. You can also pay with cash at any of our retail partners such as Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar, Makro, Game, Flash stores, and many more. You will see the full list of partners in the Mama Money app. If you pay with cash, you will receive a reference number in an SMS that we will send to you. Present this reference number to our retailer partners and pay the exact amount of cash to complete your order.

Transfers to mobile wallets and cash collection are sent within minutes. Transfers to bank accounts, on average, take 5 hours to be received but can take up to 48 hours to reflect, depending on the recipient’s institution.

Mama’s fee is 5% or less for sending money to Zimbabwe. It depends on how much money you send. a) If you send R500 the fee will be R24 b) If you send R1000 the fee will be R48 c) If you send R10,000 the fee will be R250

Once your account is activated, you can send up to R5000 per order and up to R25,000 per month. You can also upgrade your account to send higher limits of up to R50,000 per order and R100,000 per month. Select the “More Money Home” button in the Mama Money up to upgrade your account.
