You can send money to recipients who are citizens of Eswatini and active MTN MoMO customers. They must have already completed FICA verification with Momo. Please note this is a separate verification to just having an MTN number.
Once your account is activated, you can send up to R4,000 per day and up to R25,000 per month
Mama’s fee is a minimum of R29 and then 5% or less for sending money to Eswatini. It depends on how much you send. if you send R1000 the fee will be R50
Transfers to mobile wallets are sent within minutes.
You can choose to pay for your order via online banking or EFT. You can also pay with cash at any of our retail partners such as Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar, Makro, Game, Flash stores, etc. If you pay with cash, you will receive a reference number in an SMS that we’ll send to you. Present this reference number to our retailer partners and pay the exact amount of cash to complete your order.
Once your Mama Money order has been paid for. You and your recipient will receive an SMS with a reference number. Your recipient can withdraw at any of the 20k MoMo stores across Eswatini
