Once your account is activated, you can send up to R25,000 per order and up to R25,000 per month. You can also upgrade your account to send higher limits of up to R50,000 per order and R100,000 per month. Select the “Increase Limits” button in the Mama Money app to upgrade your account.

You can pay in cash at a participating retailer, via EFT, or through other payment options available in the Mama Money app. Your transfer will be processed once payment is confirmed.

Your recipient can receive money directly into their bank account or supported mobile wallet in Philippine Peso (PHP). Please make sure the correct bank or wallet details are entered to avoid delays.

Transfers to mobile wallets and cash collection are sent within minutes. Transfers to bank accounts on average take 5 hours to be received but can takeup to 48 hours to reflect depending on the recipient’s institution.

Mama’s fee is 5% (capped at R250) when sending money to the Philippines. You’ll see the exact fee and exchange rate in the Mama Money app before confirming your transfer.
